Why it matters

Every second counts, finding the right boat in distress is everything

Your Mission
Our Vision

Search and Rescue operations should’nt depend on uncertainty. It should rely on fast detection and accurate identification

Key Benefits

Transforming navigation lights into an instant, unmistakable distress signal. Enabling faster response and saving lives.

Help can be near

Nearby vessels can be the first responders

No manual handling

Works even if you are disabled to be on deck

Simple Integration

No extra equipment needed - always onboard

Long visuall duration

Complement short-lived pyrotechnic distress signals

In an emergency, things must be simple.

A visual distress signal on a boat should not require a manual or an instruction book to learn how to activate.

Just press the 🆘-button for 3 seconds until the light turns off - that short delay helps prevent accidental activation, for example by children.

When activated, the button flash synchronized with the Navigation Lights.

Not a feature to differentiate.

In an emergency, there is no time to interpret different handling.

If manufacturers create their own variations to stand out, the result is confusion, hesitation, and lost time. A distress signal must never vary between boats.

NL-VDS must be a global standard, ensuring the same activation and the same unmistakable response — on every vessel.
